Following the arrest of Rakim Mayers, known as A$AP Rocky, in connection with a shooting incident in November, he was released with a $550,000 bail in less than three hours later after posting bond, according to the records, and is set on a court date on Aug. 17.

Rocky was a suspect in a Nov. 6 shooting near Vista Del Mar and Selma Avenue around 10:20 p.m., said the Los Angeles Police Department. Various enforcement sources claimed that Rihanna was present when Rocky was arrested.

The victim revealed that the rapper, who was walking with two companions, went to him possessing a handgun on the street. He also shared that Rocky shot him three to four times, as he believed one of the bullets scraped his left hand, based on the police reports.

Such incident had not yet been brought out in the media. Police gave details on a Twitter statement and said: “Early this morning, LAPD officers arrested Mayers for assault with a deadly weapon (firearm) at the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office for filing consideration.”

Back In 2019, the rapper also got arrested in Sweden after a fight on the street between his entourage and two others. Then-President Donald Trump aided for his release, giving Sweden a warning the negative consequences if Mayers was not released.

He was then convicted with assault and had been given a suspended prison sentence and had to pay more tha $1,000 to the damages caused. He served a month in prison before the sentence got handed down, which resulted of him not having to serve additional time.
