Abraham Quintanilla, the father of the queen of Tejano, Selena Quintanilla Perez, whom up to this day, still remains popular years after her tragic death in 1995, announced that a new Selena album is in the works and will be released next month.
The album will contain 13 songs arranged by A.B. Quintanilla, her brother, Abraham shared in an interview with Latin Groove News. The songs are under Q Productions catalog.
The first track is a song that Selena recorded when she was 13 years old, but the voice shall be updated to make it sound like she did before her death, Abraham said. Suzette Quintanilla, her sister, is also helping with the album art design.
“Selena has been gone (for) 26 years now… What amazes me, and Suzette, my family. A.B., is 26 years later the public still remembers Selena. They haven’t let go of her. They’re waiting for a project like this to come out, and I know it will be well received by the public,” Abraham shared.
How does that sounds like for Selena fans out there?
