Norman Reedus suffers a head injury on The Walking Dead set

Norman Reedus, The Walking Dead star, suffered a head injury on the set of the long-running AMC zombie series. The incident happened on March 11 in Georgia, where the production is finishing filming.
Reedus’ representative confirmed his injury after the Fandemic Tour and said Reedus could not attend this week’s event in Atlanta. "Norman suffered a concussion on set," Representative Jeffrey Chassen shared on Deadline. "He is recovering well and will return to work soon. Thank you to everyone for their concern." It has not been made clear whether Reedus was filming a scene when the accident occured or not. The final day of filming on The Walking Dead is said to be delayed for days, Deadline said.
Fandemic Tour organizers announced on Tuesday of Reedus’ postponement from appearing in the event due to the injury. "We are sending all of our thoughts and positive energy to Norman Reedus," it said. "Everyone in our amazing community knows how much he loves his fans, and he wants you to know how terrible he feels about the situation. However, we all want him to do what is best for his health. Let's send him all of our well-wishes and hope for a speedy recovery."
The Walking Dead is approaching an end with Season 11, but AMC has new projects in store to keep the franchise going. There’s the spinoff, Fear the Walking Dead, now in its seventh season. The anthology series Tales of the Walking Dead is in the works later this year, while McBride and Reedus will have a show focusing on their characters Carol and Daryl. Isle of the Dead with Morgan and Lauren Cohan for 2023, then there are three movies about Andrew Lincoln's Rick as well.
