Warner Bros. “The Batman” is definitely well-received when it soared over international box office charts, earning $120 million from 74 markets abroad, according to Variety.
The film had the best turnout in the United Kingdom earning $18.4 million, followed by Mexico at $12 million. Top territories such as Australia collected $9.2 million, Brazil at $8.8 million, for France at $8.5 million, Germany got $5.1 million, and Korea accumulated $4.4 million worth.
“The Batman” won’t be shown in the theaters in China until March 18, which is the world’s biggest theatrical market to date. The film shall not be available in Russia, as Warner Bros. pulled its release due to the country’s invasion of Ukraine.
“The Batman”, directed by Matt Reeves, takes on Bruce Wayne’s (Robert Pattinson) earlier career being “the world’s greatest detective.” Towards his pursuit of justice, he uncovers corruption in Gotham City while chasing down the Riddler (Paul Dano). The film includes a star-studded cast where the Catwoman is played by Zoë Kravitz, Alfred Pennyworth played by Andy Serkis, the crime-lord known as Penguin by Colin Farrell, and Gotham City Police Chief by Jeffrey Wright.
