Avengers: endgame directors, Joe and Anthony Russo recently revealed what their MCU project is. In an interview, they revealed that they want to do Secret Wars.

However, they did not state if they are actually doing it. Joe Russo stated “our love for marvel is based on the books that we read as kids, the books that we fell in love with. The one series that we adored growing up was Secret Wars.”

The secret wars were first published in 1984 as a limited series. The series displayed a big crossover of the avengers, x-men, fantastic four, and more as an alien took them to a place called Battleworld.

This series also introduced symbiotes which then become venom. Joe Russo added to his statement that the secret wars are incredibly ambitious and it is bigger than Infinity War and Endgame.

He continued “Those two movies were very hard to make. So, trying to imagine making another two movies even bigger than those two? We’re going to have to sleep on that.”

The Russo brothers have been asked about Secret Wars for years. However, their answers have been evasive. A giveaway was how they think that project will be “two movies.”

Main MCU producer, Kevin Feige, would dismiss the rumors about the brothers directing the future project. He recently stated that the people will learn about MCU’s next big saga in the coming months.
