Natalie Portman is back and more daring in the first teaser for “Thor: Love and Thunder.”

Thor series fourth film is directed by Taika Waititi, who also did the positively-received “Thor: Ragnarok.” The film follows after “Avengers: Endgame,” which concluded with Thor Odinson (Chris Hemsworth), lost after loosing his kingdom Asgard, with Earth on the hands of the Guardians of the Galaxy.

The teaser starts with Thor as a member of the group, along with Chris Pratt, Pom Klementieff, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel reprising their roles.

Preceding MCU stars Tessa Thompson and Waititi himself as Korg shall also return to the movie, but the most anticipating moment of the teaser shows in the final seconds, as Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) is revealed as the new Thor.

Portman last appeared as Jane in 2013’s “Thor: the Dark World.” She was said to have left the series due to being unhappy with the movie, and specifically, the director replacement from Patty Jenkins to Alan Taylor. Waititi reportedly convinced Portman to return to the MCU for the film.

“Love and Thunder” shall also reveal new casts to the franchise. Some recent addition involves Bale’ s Gorr the God Butcher created by Aaron and Esad Ribic in 2013. Melissa McCarthy and husband Ben Falcone are expected to make cameos, too.

Thor: Love and Thunder” is set to release in theaters on July 8.
